Waterco go beyond manufacturing pool equipment. Established in Sydney in 1981 and listed on the ASX in 1989 (ASX:WAT), they have grown from a small PVC pipe distributor into a global technology and manufacturing group whose filtration and sanitisation solutions are used in residential, commercial and industrial applications across more than 40 countries.
Their strength is engineering that solves real operating problems. Waterco design and manufacture across swimming pool and spa, commercial water treatment, aquaculture and water purification — with proprietary injection moulding techniques, the largest Micron fibreglass filters found in the market today, and a Climate Care Certified range that helps owners reach the highest levels of environmental sustainability. The group also supports the industry at retail and installation level through Swimart, one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest pool and spa service networks, and Zane solar pool heating. Because every pool is concrete construction, width, depth and shape are set by the site and the client: freeform, geometric and lap pools, pools with adjoining spas, and water features, finished in Pebblecrete or tile. Castaway Pools: Custom Concrete, Built for the Queensland Lifestyle
Castaway Pools go beyond a standard build. A Queensland family business with more than 20 years behind them, working out of Palm Beach across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, they design, build and renovate custom concrete pools — lap, plunge, lagoon, infinity — and the outdoor spaces around them. QBCC licensed and members of the Masonry Pool Builders Association of Australia, they build to the site and the client rather than to a catalogue.
No two Castaway pools hand over the same way. We work out what each one needs, get the water right for the owner's first swim, and come back two weeks later to make sure it stayed that way. Castaway partner with us because handover is the moment an owner decides how they feel about their pool.
Moorebank Aerosol Fillers: Process Water for Contract Manufacturing
Moorebank Aerosol Fillers go beyond filling cans. A second-generation family business in Sydney's south-west and Australia's pioneer aerosol contract manufacturer, they formulate, manufacture, fill and pack aerosol products for the personal care, home care and industrial markets — for established brands, private label retailers and independents alike. In-house chemistry and an R&D laboratory back their product development, and the plant runs to Intertek certification and SEDEX ethical supply chain standards.
At Moorebank the water goes into the product, so it cannot be an afterthought. We keep their filtration plant clean, their lines free of biofilm and every visit documented. They partner with us because process water is not something a manufacturer wants to think about — and with us, they don't have to.

A former SPASA CEO, COO and Chief Policy Officer, Spiros has contributed to more than 30 Australian and New Zealand Standards and was recognised by Standards Australia for 20 years of service. Somerset College: Aquatic Excellence on the Gold Coast
Somerset College go beyond the classroom. Established in 1983 at Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast, this independent, non-denominational co-educational day school teaches around 1,480 students from Pre-Prep to Year 12 and is an IB World School, delivering the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes alongside the Queensland Certificate of Education.
Its aquatic facilities are among the finest in the region. Opened in 1998, the Somerset swim precinct comprises a heated 10-lane 50-metre Olympic pool, two indoor heated Learn to Swim pools, a Pool Function Room and a grandstand seating 800. Through the Somerset Swimming Academy and Somerset Swim Club, the College supports swimmers from six months of age through to elite level, running learn-to-swim, junior development and squad programmes for both students and the wider community — with the precinct also available for external hire.
Somerset came to us with chloramines in an indoor pool full of children. We took the chlorine out. Nearly a decade on we look after every pool on the campus, and the 50-metre pool is where we prove what comes next.
Peninsula Hot Springs: A Global Leader in Geothermal Bathing
Peninsula Hot Springs go beyond a day spa. Founded in 1997 by brothers Charles and Richard Davidson — inspired by Charles’s experience of bathing in Japan in 1992 — they set out to establish a genuine bathing culture in Australia, and in 2002 struck geothermal water 637 metres beneath the Mornington Peninsula.
Today the Fingal site offers more than 70 distinct bathing and wellness experiences drawn from bathing traditions around the world, alongside a day spa, eco lodges, glamping, dining from an on-site kitchen garden, and a year-round arts, culture and events program. Their approach is built on seven wellness pillars — relaxation, movement, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness, education and creativity — and on deep community and cultural connection, including with the Boonwurrung/Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. The Peninsula Hot Springs Group now also includes Metung Hot Springs and Maruia Hot Springs. Recognition has followed: a first Victorian Tourism Award in 2010, Hall of Fame induction across the Health and Wellbeing, Tourist Attraction and Ecotourism categories, and repeated global honours at the World Luxury Spa Awards.
Peninsula Hot Springs came to us with a problem no off-the-shelf product solves: geothermal water, enormous bathing loads, and guests who travel for the water — not for the smell of chlorine. We built them a system that did not exist, and we still watch over it remotely from the Gold Coast.
